Health in a natural environment

Portinho in the moonlight

The project “Bem-estar”  (the well-being of people) offers first of all relaxing and well-being in a fascinating nature of the tropics, where man has his roots and where we can find our biological and spiritual balance again in order to be able to cope with the challenges of modern and polluted civilization.

Forest, dunes and lake in the Jardim

We offer two different places to stay. One at the sea-side in Portinho (farm Jardim) und the second one in the interior in S.Filomena (farm Tapuio), nearly in the centre of Brazil. The distance between the two places is nearly 1.300km and therefore in two different climate zones.

Fazenda Tapuio

To each “fazenda” belongs more or less 1000ha land and offers a functioning and wild nature, which at the moment is being adapted to the needs of mankind. That means, that we cultivate many different species and that we plant fruits and vegetables with a method called “Perma culture”, in order to make even the woods accessible and usable for the people. In the project “Bem-estar” there a three ground-rules: no chemical items, no fire and no intelligent manipulation of seeds and plants. Therefore, the food we offer is absolutely wild and clean of any pollution. This is the “fuel”, for which the human organism was build for and it is a marvelous feeling to re-discover the function of our senses (sense of smell and taste) in the woods while searching for food.

Accommodation and food at the “fazendas” are very rustic and as nearest to nature as possible. We can offer accommodation outside the fazenda (with the usual comforts) or inside (rustic, that means in the hut without electricity and running water). Life at the fazenda is very plain, but by no means boring, it is quite the contrary!

We can offer a great number of activities:

Ø

In Santa Filomena all these activities are possible as far as the conditions allow it. In addition to that there is the possibility of free climbing in the canyons of the Tapuio.
